It was a crazy week of remodeling chaos; dust, noise, and cold, rainy weather. The contractors will finish up on Saturday, other than a few things next week - installing the marble hearth, the mantel, and a couple other minor things. It’s been so dark here with the rain and clouds that I haven’t snapped any pictures.
Tonight I dry mopped the walls to remove the sheetrock dust, wiped down the new brick fireplace, and wiped down or vacuumed the living room furniture. The contractors did cover everything with plastic, but drywall dust is insidious. In the morning I’ll sweep and mop the new floor, roll out the rug and shampoo that. Then the furniture can go back into place. There will be some shuffling of bookcases, chairs, lamps too.
While I did a lot of cutting and sewing this week, both personal projects with looming deadlines are still in the quilt top construction phase. They’ll be done by next week but then have to be quilted. I’ll get pictures and show them next week.
Thanks for dropping by, and I promise to have a more interesting post with lots of pictures next weekend!
