Setting a Goal for October

It's time to set my one monthly goal (OMG) for October.  This month, if things go according to plan, I'll be finishing up several quilts that have been in the works all year. Every month I've been sewing with one color along with the ladies of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. After nine months, many of those blocks are ready to be assembled and put to use!

Although I'm close to a finish on a pumpkin-themed wall hanging (more about that in tomorrow's post), it wouldn't be fair for me to make that my goal for the month. Instead, I'll choose one of my Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilts - there are at least 6 - to finish up. But which one??

Well, the one calling the loudest to me is the Rainbow Anvils.  Here's a picture I took last month sometime. It shows about 30 (of the 72) anvil blocks slapped up on the design board.  With an 8x9 setting, it will end up at 64x72", a nice size lap quilt.

But I've been quilting and sewing so many small quilts for Quilts for Kids lately, to say nothing of the wall hangings I've finished (and am about to finish if you count the Pumpkins wall hanging), that a quilt of this size is probably going to feel giant! But it's autumn and definitely time to get back in the quilt saddle again!
