Have a Safe and Happy July 4

This year there have been so many wildfires here in the Western US. I am petrified that the tinder-dry grass and countryside is going to be assaulted yet again. Americans love to observe their Independence Day with fireworks, fire crackers, guns and the like. It seems that most people believe this patriotic holiday cannot be celebrated without lighting a match or firing something. *Sigh*

But I will step down off my soapbox.

Here are some lovely, gentle and G-rated patriotic images for your collection.  Just right-click and either open in a new window or save as is.

May your Holiday be safe, sane and full of love, laughter and joy!

Hugs,
Cathy maroon

  1. Hi Kathy
Stay on the soap box. Its dry here too. The other night someone went down a county road that runs along the airport and started throwing fire crackers out the car window. The grass fires started there and in several house yards. The one that started at a Church almost got to the building.

Not to mention that the booms scare the heck out critters!

Have a safe and happy 4th. And try to stay cool.
    xx, Carol

  2. Happy July 4, my dear friend. We are hearing about your wildfires on the media over here, and we feel your pain...what makes it even worse is knowing that there are people crazy (and evil) enough to light fires deliberately in such a dangerous time.
    Stay safe.
    Hugs
