Tea Time Wall Hanging - SOLD !!

Woo-hoo!!!!!!!  And when I got home from an unusual afternoon at work (because I usually only work mornings), I saw that the Ebay auction for the Tea Time Wall-hanging I had donated to CQI had ended.  This 20 x 26” piece brought in $228.49!!!!!!!!!!!!   All 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  I am so thrilled!!  (can you tell from all my exclamation points?)

What a day!  I also lost 2.2 pounds at my Weight Watchers weigh-in, and NOT because I have been sick for two weeks.  I still ate, ya know.  I love food!  I just stayed on plan...

  2. Congratulations on both counts, Cathy! I am not at all surprised that your block sold for $228; in fact I think in time to come it will be worth a lot more. Did you read about the Aussie who sold a CQ quilt for over $70,000? She was flabbergasted! But it just goes to prove that there are people out there who know the value of hand sewn objects will increase over the years, so they snap these things up when they come on the market.

  8. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Your TEA time quilt was worth every penny and then some! And congrats on the lost pounds too...I'm starting a detox vEgan plan on February 11...it was a groupon that I purchased. Hopefully, I'll drop a few too....

P.S. Love your laces....your smart to try to make some money before theAdventure! I need to do that too!

  9. Good for you on both counts. The laces are so pretty when dyed with that PP stuff.

I will not be going to the CQ adventure. Decided better I stay in Florida. If I had been in Chicago with family around I would have gone.
