Blogaversary & Rain

Here's a great CQ blog to check out if you don't already know of it. Wendy is about to celebrate her blogaversary on her Stitchdutchess Crazy & Sane Quilting blog. I've known Wendy through the Crazy Quilting International group at Yahoo, and we'll be starting a Flower Fairies round robin together in a couple weeks. Wendy is an accomplished stitcher; very talented and so versatile. Check out her site - you'll see what I mean!

I wanted to post some garden pictures, but hail has really "hammered" our roses. We've had rain every day except one since well before Memorial Day. I'm still sleeping in my winter flannel pj's and the A/C has only been on ONCE this year. I AM SO READY TO HEAD TO OMAHA IN 3 WEEKS FOR THE CRAZY QUILTING RETREAT!!!

Hugs,
Cathy

  1. Hi Cathy.... loved Wendy's blog! You and I must be living in parallel universes, LOL! Weather and work issues, VBG! I've mentioned before we go from winter to summer with no spring in between. Three weeks ago we were still heating the house with our wood stove at night... the last few days the heat has been unbearable to do anything outside and we have had major thunderstorms.... so bad I think it fried our phones which now have be be repaired, Aaargh! Anyway, no gardening for me yet either, haven't even raked the last of last year's leaved yet.... hugs!

  3. Ihope Omaha is doing better then Utah and Illinois. We are having the same thing and yesterday we had 4" in one storm. A neighbour had water in her house and I lugged every bath towel over to her to help soak up the carpet until her husband got home with a steam cleaner to suck it up. Another neighbour was outside diging a ditch to help the water run away from her house. She returned the towels today all washed and dried along with a bunch of beautiful pink roses. That she thought of that at such a time. We were dry here thank goodness.

    See you soon.

    Should we bring our raincoats?

    Hugs
